This is a Pay-What-You-Can Nonprofit Training Double-header! That's one event and two trainings! The sessions, Grant Writing for Beginners and How to Find Grant Opportunities have been merged to create one seamless training.

In this interactive and engaging session, you will learn:

  • How grants fit into a nonprofit's overall fundraising strategy

  • How to identify funders that may have an interest in your activities

  • How to assess your project’s fit with a prospective funder’s interests

  • The standard sections of a foundation proposal

  • You will practice writing a Needs Statement, and recieve on the spot feedback.

  • The different types of grant sources

  • Better-known and lesser-known strategies for finding grant opportunities

  • How to determine if a grant opportunity is right for your organization (and project)

  • Some of the trainer's grant research secrets

  • Tips for increasing your chances for success
